{"id":370,"date":"2010-01-22T15:08:04","date_gmt":"2010-01-22T13:08:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.devpsychology.ro\/?page_id=370"},"modified":"2021-03-31T09:02:08","modified_gmt":"2021-03-31T06:02:08","slug":"acasa","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.devpsychology.ro\/en\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"echipa\" src=\"http:\/\/www.devpsychology.ro\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/01\/echipa-300x243.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"243\" \/><big>The <strong><em>Developmental Psychology Laboratory<\/em><\/strong> from the <a href=\"http:\/\/psychology.psiedu.ubbcluj.ro\/\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Psychology<\/a>, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Babes-Bolyai University, is a research group interested in the domain of <strong>developmental science<\/strong>.<\/big><br \/>\n<ins datetime=\"2011-02-11T04:55:20+00:00\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<big>Our group investigates different aspects of children\u2019s and adolescents\u2019 cognitive, social and emotional development. We study typical as well as atypical developmental trajectories. Most of our studies have focused on children from birth to 6-7 years of age, because many of the fundamental abilities for optimal cognitive and emotional functioning (e.g., working memory, attention, categorization, inhibition, emotion regulation abilities) develop rapidly in this period (early childhood). Recently, our studies have begun to target middle childhood and adolescence as well. In the area of atypical development, an important research line is the study of cognitive functioning in children with high levels of anxiety. The main goal of our studies is to <strong>understand the mechanisms of development<\/strong>.
