Research interests:

My research focuses on the typical and atypical development of executive functions. With regard to typical development, I am interested in the structure and dynamics of the three executive functions (inihibition, set-shifting, and especially updating) in preschool and early school age. Looking at atypical development, I have investigated executive (dys)functions in neurodevelopmental disorders (epilepsy, Down syndrome). Another area of interest has been the application of the dynamic systems approach to the development of autobiographical memory.

My current research is focused on cognitive functioning and on emotion-cognition interactions in high-anxious children, relevant for developing specific training programs and for improving their academic performance.
