I am broadly interested in socio-emotional development, with a current focus on two main topics. First, I am investigating how empathy develops during the first years of life. For this I use various methods (behavioural, eye-tracking, psychophisiology) in an attempt to identify some of the mechanisms that are involved in infant affects sharing, and how this shared affect is related to empathic responses or predicts later developing empathic responses. Second, but not last, I am researching how infants develop an understanding of others’ actions for which, again, I use a variety of methods and techniques (behavioral, eye-tracking, ERP).
